OUR HISTORY
The story of Facix has its origins in the passion and commitment of our team of students from Epitech School in Strasbourg. Epitech, founded in 1999, is dedicated to training students in the field of computer science, emphasizing a practical, project-based pedagogy.
Drawing from our personal experiences in the nonprofit sector, we quickly became aware of the challenges faced by many associations, especially those in sports, culture, and leisure.,
Our journey began as part of the standard Epitech curriculum with the completion of a group project during our third to fifth year, known as the Epitech Innovative Project (EIP). This program allowed us to tackle real-world issues and provide technical solutions.
Our thinking then turned toward understanding why these challenges persisted within associations. Firstly, we noticed that many of them had not yet transitioned to the digital realm, making activity management more complex. Manual administrative tasks often led to time losses and communication errors.
Furthermore, it was evident that there was no adequate tool to help associations efficiently manage their activities. Overwhelmed volunteers found themselves having to take care of everything, even the most complex administrative tasks. This is when we realized the urgent need for modern and intuitive management tools for associations, allowing them to focus on their primary mission.
Financial constraints are also a major obstacle to association development. Creating websites to promote their activities and attract new participants often remains out of reach due to limited resources. Activities that cannot be booked online may deter potential participants. Without a website, associations must manually handle reservations, answer questions by phone or email, which is time-consuming for volunteers.
Faced with these observations, we made it our mission to design an accessible and effective solution to help associations manage their activities online while removing financial barriers. This is how Facix was born, a platform designed to facilitate association management while enhancing their visibility and growth. We are proud to use our expertise to serve the nonprofit community and contribute to its growth. Join us on this journey to simplify and modernize the management of your association.
